For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #105
End-of-week dispatch for the weirdos
This week, we looked toward the future of Bullshit Hunting, what content has felt good for us to create, and what we believe has resonated with those of you who take the time to read and listen—which, if we haven’t said it recently, thank you. We’re excited by the idea of sharing more experimental content, honing in on the intriguing and the informative. Have anything you’d like us to take a look at? Let us know. We’re always here.
If you’ve been following along with Witchgrass, we hope you’ve enjoyed it. We’re working to update the Kasm workspace to give you access to the full breadth of materials, and you’ll be receiving an email update then.

YouTube | The other day, I opened YouTube and saw a video titled Regina’s North Central. I’ve spent plenty of time in Regina over the years, mostly in stuffy board rooms and government offices, and have always been curious about the other, less-explored parts of the city. I clicked into the video and found an unexpected piece of humanity waiting for me.
Throughout his videos, MartyVlogz takes us through corners of Canada’s cities that are harder for some of us to look at. He has engaging, real conversations with folks who live in those areas and gives them the space to tell us what they wish to share.
A lot of today’s journalism happens behind a keyboard. Written from the perspective of a researcher who thumbed through papers and online archives, perhaps picked up the phone a few times. I’m not degrading this work; I do it all the time. But I crave the authentic nature of journalism that happens in our communities, with community members who can bring a perspective many will not have. MartyVlogz provides that. Give him a watch.
Until next time,
Your Bullshit Hunting Crew
