For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #15
It's not that weird to make tiny books in tiny detective houses is it? You'd tell us right?
We had a soul crushing week in our advocacy work with the Tuolumne County evicting Kathy Mouser, rendering her unhoused. She thankfully has temporary shelter for the time being and we’re working with folks on the ground in California but this is a very sad reality for families during and after a conviction. Wrongful or not.
Part of our work is fighting for some redemption and there is no better colleague in that fight than Jared Villery, who wrote his first post this week from Los Angeles titled: One Man’s Story of Evolution, from Young Thug to Warrior Scholar. Jared is incredibly brilliant, has an unbelievable story and his journey and his story is really just starting.
What Justin Has Been Building
When the tough gets going sometimes you just have to craft tiny things. Justin has been working away on a tiny detective agency and since there’s no one to check him while he’s writing this (evil cackle) he thought he would share a build thread instead of podcasts and movies this week. Why not?
And that’s as far as the project has gotten and the glue has dried. Don’t worry by next Friday, we’ll have a shot of the finished project. We hope you go pick up the knitting needles, Exacto knives, soldering iron, dance shoes or whatever else helps you recover some spoons this weekend.
