For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #31
Come fishing for Lovecraftian horrors with the Pirates of Permanent Record Research.
This week saw our fearless leader, Kennedy Chappell, describing the various ways that she, and other team members, are in fact inept. In this particular case of executive dysfunction, we follow her as she attempts to purchase some Bitcoin in a post titled: Humility & Bitcoin: Tales from the CEO's Desk. Give it a read, you might find some catharsis inside.
What We Played - Dredge
Dredge (Nintendo Switch) - If you’re a horror fan and a gamer, no doubt you may have seen Dredge come across your feeds. If you’re new to gaming? This is a perfect one to get started with. It’s easy, you have a boat. You captain this boat around, fishin’, dredgin’ and helping the local islanders with various tasks. It’s pretty peaceful.
Until the sun goes down. A daily event you soon learn to dread, as Lovecraftian horrors start rising from the deep and very soon you realize this game isn’t relaxing at all. It’s a near-constant, butthole-puckering affair that sees you becoming increasingly tasked with more dangerous missions.
This game is so unique, the mechanics, artwork and vibe are *chef’s kiss*. If you haven’t played it? Give it a try and let us know!
Now take your clothes off and go for a run around the block, it’s good for you.
