For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #22
Descend into more flavours of weird than Baskin Robbins has flavours of ice cream.
This week our intrepid weirdo-in-residence, MJ Banias, wrote an excellent OSINT how-to titled: “A Free OSINT Lesson: Everyone Just Wants to F*ck”. As the title implies, our desire to be desired and to roll around in the hay with other folks (sometimes a bunch of folks all at once!) is, well, a security risk.
Don’t let it stop you though, roll away dear reader, just use a separate email account when you do.

Odd Trails
On a long travel day a few years ago, I went to Twitter for podcast recommendations. With only minutes to download a couple of episodes before boarding a flight, I chose the one with the most interesting title—Let's Not Meet. I spent the next three and a half hours absolutely absorbed. Not only was the content good, but I found a podcast with a single narrator that didn’t put me off with their style (solo hosts, you’re great, it’s a tough battle). When he later announced he'd be starting a paranormal podcast, I was delighted.
Odd Trails premiered in late 2021 and has been a fixture in my Monday mornings ever since.
Description:
Odd Trails is an anthology of true paranormal stories narrated by Andy Tate and Brandon Lanier. Join us every week as we dive into all things weird and otherworldly.
What Justin Watched
The Sons of Sam (IMDB) - the notorious case of the ‘Son of Sam’, David Berkowitz, is examined in a different light. You’ll note the title is plural, with the premise of this series being that there was more than just David Berkowitz responsible for the multiple killings, shootings and a variety of spooky, gruesome, seemingly linked crimes. Crimes that might stretch all the way to California, hell might even get real close to our neck of the woods in Saskatchewan. If you don’t want to go do a deep dive on Newspapers.com the day after reading this, then you might in fact be mentally more healthy than the Bullshit Hunting team.
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed, sent words of encouragement this week and for reading all the way down here. We know that’s never an easy task on a Friday.
