For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #11
Cold snaps, shit snaps and gingersnaps.
Getting back in the groove again this week after illnesses, blizzards, insane -40C Canadian winter-cold-snaps and the general fuckery that we all have to deal with living in this crazy world day to day.
We published a doozy of a post this Wednesday from our ongoing serial The Hunt. This week we tracked down an old video of former Stanislaus County District Attorney, Birgit Fladager, saying some pretty egregious things at a district attorney candidate’s roundtable. Go have a read and watch the video for yourself.
Even more fun, Ritu Gill, of the Forensic OSINT tool, whipped up a quick video of how you can use their tool to easily extract the video in question and have it forensically preserved in a court-ready way.
As we mentioned in our previous Weekend Warriors post, we’re still actively raising funds for Kathy Mouser, the wife of Doug Mouser. She is still facing an uncertain future with her housing and ongoing bills while attorneys continue to fight for her husband’s freedom. If you can give, please do so here.
What Justin Listened to This Week
The Public Defenseless Podcast (Spotify) - this is an excellent podcast that I have been binge-listening to. It covers public defenders, their struggles, challenges and the wide variety of ways that the justice system fails people in the United States. I have always had a soft spot for public defenders and we have worked with a number of them over the years. If you haven’t taken the time to hear about how your local public defender’s office works, this is a fantastic podcast to learn from.

What Justin Watched
The Bridgewater Triangle (YouTube Movies) - this is a wild one, with a whiplist of weird longer than Skinwalker Ranch (MJ may disagree). The Bridgewater Triangle, located in Southeastern Massachusetts features UFO encounters, cryptids, funny parnormal investigators, a giant swamp and a very real Satanic cult of the stabby kind. I thought this one was super interesting if not for the fact that I hadn’t heard of it before.
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed, sent words of encouragement this week and for reading all the way down here. We know that’s never an easy task on a Friday.
