It was a short week at BSH HQ, and we had a short but sweet piece by the cryptid himself
, to honour that. He lets us in on the lessons he’s learned while navigating tricky post-conviction cases—When In Doubt? Pull CSVs Out. And if you’ve been feeling any level of personal doubt, we’ve got a recommendation for ya!

The Mastery of Love
I’m sorry, isn’t this, like, an investigation station and not a healing circle? Yeah, yeah, I know—hear me out.
There was a theme this week, and it was “overwhelm.” That was the theme. Someone reached out with a wonderful question about how you stay grounded when you’re bludgeoned by information, emotions, truth, or any of it.
And my answer is going outside of my head and into a book, podcast, or phone call with a friend that reminds me the world is happening whether I like it or not, other people have shit they’re going through too, and the only choice we really have is how we participate in it. Fear can be a useful driver; it can also be a useless immobilizer.
For years, and I do mean years, I’ve been returning to a dog-eared copy of this book or the audiobook that I have burnt out a time or seventeen. The voices are melodic and robotic and hypnotic, helping to dismantle fear-based beliefs and assumptions so we can maybe, for a moment, stop undermining ourselves.
It’s a topical soothing balm, not a true healing agent, but it sure does feel good when you’re sitting in uncertainty and overwhelm. Try it out.
Stuff your pipe to the brim, pour something yummy, and ignore everything this weekend.
Much love,
Your Bullshit Hunting Crew
