For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #38
Time management tips for pirates, Dwight Schrute tells spooky stories and more.
If you were to sit at a breakfast table and choose the tastiest of freshest juices, which juice would it be? For us, it’s writers juice. And guess what? The store was firmly out this morning. So, enjoy our short but sweet Friday check-in, weirdies!
This week saw our Bullshit Hunter extraordinaire, MJ Banias, dish out another tasty free OSINT lesson, this one called: Timestamps! Timestamps, You Idiot! For once, he’s not yelling at Justin Seitz, but instead teaching the importance of scrutinizing the timeline in a case, applying investigative skepticism and telling one’s lawn to go “fucking mow itself.” Don’t question his process, folks; it works.
What Kennedy Recommends
Radio Rental
Real stories of unexplained happenings told by real people, and hosted by “Terry Carnation” aka Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight from The Office. The first season of Radio Rental, which premiered in 2019, was so good that I insisted on only listening to it late at night while out for walks in the dark. And then I listened to it again on a drive from Nashville in 2022.
If you haven’t already checked it out, I need you to run and listen to “Laura of the Woods” immediately. It’s worth it. I won’t vouch for the later seasons, but I will always stand by their humble beginnings.
Bizarre, real-life horror stories told by those who lived them. A new anthology series from the mind of Payne Lindsey.
We have some fun new things coming, enjoy some reading and listening until then and we’ll be back next week!
