For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #14
Smashing bits that aren't the dangly kind, for once.
Bullshit Hunting went full digital forensics this week with an incredibly detailed and thoroughly resourced article from Shafik Punja. We definitely recommend reading it as there are few modern cases that don’t involve elements of digital forensics or digital investigations. There’s also a lot of bullshit out there and folks testifying far beyond their expertise.
New voices and new faces, like Shafik’s, are welcome here and you will be seeing more in the coming days with more guest posts before the regular band of misfits returns.
What Justin Listened to This Week
Proof Season 1: Russian Roulette (Spotify) - An incredibly good investigative podcast, no shock with hosts that have serious chops, true crime pedigree and are just really good at what they do. This is a story about suicide, homicide, dirty cops, bad forensics and infuriating lineup of injustices. This is one of those podcasts that is so good, you should be doing some knitting or crafting tiny books or something where you can give it the love it deserves. Can’t wait to dive into Season 2.
From Last Weekend
What Justin Watched
The Houses October Built (Amazon Prime) - Oh I do love me a good ole found footage, shaky-cam, scary-house, spook-fest. I loved this series and haven’t watched the first one in awhile. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it and you like this genre, it’s spooky and a bit different than the usual single-location scare. 10/10 soiled pairs of underwear.
We hope you had a great week and we hope you have an even better weekend.
Peace.
