Where Coke Zero fuels our imaginations and investigations
Welcome to Friday, Baloney Busters! This week in Bullshit Hunting, MJ's latest free OSINT tip took us on a hunt through "Large City, USA" for a lovely piece of ceramic. It's another Coke Zero-fuelled adventure you'll want to be in the sidecar of.
It was another quiet week at BSH HQ, which could mean a number of things—power naps and lackadaisical walks, or maybe top secret, never-to-be-spoken-of missions and projects? You'll know when you know! Until then, cozy up with some recommendations from your hunters.
From Kennedy’s Bookshelf
(Short Story) The Grownup - Gillian Flynn
Like many laid across towels on beaches or jammed near the AC on a bus, in the summer of 2012, I devoured Gillian Flynn’s “Gone Girl.” I read all of her previous work and found myself trying to appeal to a higher power for more. Then, in 2015, she dropped “The Grownup”—a gripping story of the courtship and marriage of a narcissist and a sociopath.
Realizing it’s release date is humbling because to this day, I’m still recommending it and just went back for a reread.
Available where you purchase books as a tidy 64-page read or as an audiobook with a 1 hour and 18-minute listen-time.
What Somebody Else’s Lawyer is Listening To
Rabia and Ellyn Solve the Case - This is cheating. Justin recommended it to me, first. A lawyer and an actress, both big fans of true crime, dissect the evidence behind high-profile cases. I love listening to a good rabbithole.
Thank you to everyone who has subscribed, sent words of encouragement this week and for reading all the way down here. We build our dreams atop your support.
