For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #87
We made it. You’re here. Let’s get weird.
Our last five days were trial prep, content writing, and microphones on—what else is new? Maybe when something new and thrilling happens, we’ll be able to round this section out with intrigue, but instead, I think it’s mostly the same for all of us—work, eat, sleep. Some days you throw some joy in there, some days sorrow, but always, bullshit.
This week, Justin brought us another digital evidence tutorial with Time Cop: Wrangling Disordered Digital Evidence. Join him in decoding the chaotic mix of media sources, synchronized with all the precision of a fart on a windy day. Because nothing says investigative excellence like combining math with a fart joke.
This tutorial will drop to free subscribers next Wednesday.
What Kennedy Recommends
I've been unmotivated with series recently. My brain space is occupied by the bits and bobs of life, and anything that asks too much feels overwhelming. Instead, I've ended up in the loop of the YouTube algorithm and was served a video of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA.
If you like your documentaries nosy, charming, and just a little uncomfortable, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA should be on your list. The British journalist brings curiosity and a complete lack of judgment to the bedrooms, basements, and belief systems of America's most unconventional households—think polyamorous throuples, survivalist families, tradwives, and raising babies without diapers. In this moment in history, when it's increasingly difficult to disagree and exist in relationships with differences, these short docs are informative, refreshing, and don't require too much mental labour. I watched them on YouTube, but you may find more episodes on some niche streaming services.
Now, give your brain a rest.
Much love,
Your Bullshit Hunting Crew
