For the Weekend Warriors, Weirdos & Whackjobs - Issue #108
Your Friday morning freak flag
Sorry folks, it’s an “all Kennedy all the time” kind of week. She’s the only member of Bullshit Hunting who doesn’t have kids bringing home winter germs; it is what it is. (Why am I writing about myself in the third person? Habit, forgive me.)
Volume 3 of High Spirits came out to paid subscribers this morning, and it was less comedy and more sincerity. Solo hosting, I (Kennedy) chat through the different types of energies that might be interpreted as supernatural, and walk you through a well-documented haunting that may have more to do with poverty and trauma than it does poltergeists.
High Spirits
With one of your spirits down and out, Volume 3 is a one woman show, High Spirit. Riveting? No. Funny? Not even that. 26 minutes of discussing energies and the bleak reality of the Enfield Poltergeist? Absolutely. Roll something, check it out, share it with your loved ones.
This week, reaching paid subscribers was a crash course in demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren, and their business model, Mythmaking as Method. In an attempt to confirm some theories on a historical uprising in exorcisms, we’ve acquired a number of obscure occult materials that are allowing us to slowly build out the landscape of people and practices. Two familiar names haunt those pages, Ed and Lorraine. This one isn’t just for the paranormal-interested, it’s for the history nerds and con-artist enthusiasts.
Out to everyone, Aren’t You Embarrassed? This one comes to you with and from the heart. It isn’t about one bad interview or one bad CEO, it’s predictability. It’s about a script powerful men keep following: minimize harm, maximize profit, congratulate yourself. I explain why sincerity is the one thing tech leadership can’t seem to afford.
What Justin Recommends
Movie | Creep Box (Shudder) - A grieving scientist builds a box to talk to the dead, and right on cue the US government wants to utilize the technology to reshape the criminal justice system. One part sci-fi, one part horror, one part, well, reality. While this might not be for everyone, it will most likely be for anyone that’s ever heard the chirpy-talkin-jive of a Spirit Box. Give this one a watch!
Meet here again next week,
Your Bullshit Hunting Crew
